Our leitmotif for the direction of this film was the fried egg. We started to think of surreal scenes with eggs and that’s how “Die Deutsche Henne” or “The German Hen” in english came about, with a clear influence on “Un chien andalou”.

With all our technical equipment, materials and with ourselves as models we were able to shoot it all in our own studio. You can still smell like a fried egg …
